Flushing Meadows: Wellness tourism haven in Bohol

The Flushing Meadows and Resort in Bohol is set to lead the local tourism thrust that seeks to provide Bohol visitors with an array of wellness-conducive facilities and services likely to carve a niche in the international wellness tourism industry.

Named after the legendary US Tennis Open park in New York, the Flushing Meadows and Resort is the only hotel in the Asia-Pacific region associated with a sports ground, providing the groundwork of the wellness program available at their hotel in Panglao Island, Bohol.

The Flushing Meadows and Resort boasts of housing in one big roof on the plush Panglao Island a slew of playground features and more, from the international-standard tennis court at their hotel in Bohol, to its in-house aqua sports and spa facilities, camp grounds, and fitness gym.

Added feature to the wellness program of the Flushing Meadows Playground and Resort is the localized and distinct feel of its hotel wellness service and amenities. The hotel spa at the Phase 2 of the Flushing Meadows property in Bohol offers the local version of the traditional massage therapy practiced in the rural areas of the Philippines.

Believed to have healing capabilities, the traditional massage has had positive feedbacks from foreign tourists who have tried it, and is now hoped to put the wellness program of the Flushing Meadows and Resort among the Bohol appeals that draw in visitors to the island.

  • we booked on this resort last June and very disappointed. They charge us $182.00 a night, i think that's over price for that kind of place. the ladies in front desk are rude and disrespectful to guests especially christine and her assistant. will never go back to this place again.
